Andreas Hatzigeorgiou

Andreas Hatzigeorgiou is the CEO of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the leading Swedish business Affärsvärlden and the International Chamber of Commerce in Sweden among other organisations. 

Andreas Hatzigeorgiou was the lead advisor to the Minister for Trade and Nordic Cooperation between 2009-2014. He previously held positions at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the World Bank in Washington, D.C. He received his PhD in economics from Lund University, Sweden, and graduated as a Fulbright Scholar from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Today Dr. Hatzigeorgiou is an Affiliated Researcher at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology School of Architecture and the Built Environment. 

Andreas Hatzigeorgiou has received several awards within sustainability and business, such as Sweden’s most influential agenda-setter in climate & sustainability and Supertalent. He has published research in international academic journals such as The World Economy, written reports for organisations such as the OECD and Brookings Institution, and is the author of the book ”Designing Smart and Resilient Cities for a Post-Pandemic World: Metropandemic Revolution”.
