
Erkki Keldo
Erkki Keldo is Estonia’s Minister of Economy and Industry, responsible for economic and innovation policy, labour market development, and planning and land matters.
As Minister, he is committed to strengthening Estonia’s international competitiveness through entrepreneurship, export growth, and innovation. He also represents the government on the Supervisory Board of the Unemployment Insurance Fund, the Advisory Board of the Applied Research Centre, and the Government’s Economic Cabinet.
In addition, he sets strategic expectations for the state-owned Business and Innovation Agency, which focuses on innovation, high value-added investments, and the recruitment of international talent.
Prior to his ministerial role, Keldo served as a Member of the Estonian Parliament from 2019 to 2024. He was Secretary General of the Estonian Reform Party between 2018 and 2022, following several advisory positions within the party’s leadership and parliamentary group.
Keldo holds a degree in Political Science from Tallinn University. He has also served on the Põltsamaa Municipal Council since 2013, including as Deputy Chair from 2017 to 2021.
Born in 1990, Keldo combines national responsibility with strong local roots and a long-standing commitment to public service.
