Ewa Skoog Haslum

Vice Admiral (VADM) Ewa Skoog Haslum is a surface warfare officer and has served as Chief of Joint Operations since November 2024.

Prior to this, she was Chief of the Royal Swedish Navy. VADM Skoog Haslum began her military career as a conscript in 1987 and was commissioned as an officer in 1990. Before taking up a position at the Swedish Defence University, she completed a command tour as Commander of the 4th Naval Warfare Flotilla in Stockholm. She has also held staff positions at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters and the naval flotilla level.

From 2006 to 2008, VADM Skoog Haslum commanded the Swedish corvette HSwMS Sundsvall, including a deployment to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon in 2007. This tour as commanding officer marked the pinnacle of her operational career at sea. Between 2017 and 2020, she served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the Swedish Defence University.

In addition to her regular duties in the Swedish Armed Forces, VADM Skoog Haslum has also served as Aide-de-Camp to Her Royal Highness, Crown Princess Victoria.
