Gabrielius Landsbergis

Born under Soviet occupation, Gabrielius Landsbergis witnessed Lithuania’s fight for independence firsthand, an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to defending freedom.

Starting as a diplomat, he soon entered politics, winning a resounding mandate to the European Parliament before leading the centre-right Homeland Union and serving as Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. In this role, he positioned Lithuania as a global defender of democracy, championing Ukraine, strengthening Indo-Pacific ties, and supporting freedom movements worldwide. His bold, values-driven approach made him a leading voice in international affairs, with a strong media presence and over 100,000 engaged followers.

Since leaving politics in 2024, Gabrielius continues his fight against authoritarianism. His forthcoming memoirs and analyses, set for release in 2025, will carry his mission forward. Retirement was never an option—he chose escalation.
