Jakob Riis

Jakob Riis holds a Master’s degree in Forestry and a PhD in Econometrics from the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Life Sciences.

He has served as President and CEO of Falck since 2017 and has over 25 years of experience in the international healthcare industry.

Before joining Falck, Riis spent two decades at Novo Nordisk in various commercial roles. His tenure included working in the U.S. sales organization, leading marketing efforts in Japan, serving as Head of Global Marketing for over a decade, and most recently, as President of the North American business while serving on the Executive Management team.

He is a member of the Board of Directors at the Danish Chamber of Commerce and H. Lundbeck, where he also serves on the Scientific Committee.
