Jyrki Katainen

Jyrki Katainen has served as Head of Group Public Affairs at Nordea Bank since 2023. 

Prior to this, he was President of the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, where he focused on climate policy, the circular economy, and digital transformation. 

From 2014 to 2019, he served as Vice-President of the European Commission for Jobs, Growth, Investment, and Competitiveness. Before his EU tenure, he was Prime Minister of Finland (2011–2014) and Minister of Finance (2007–2011), following 15 years as a Member of the Finnish Parliament. 

Katainen holds a Master of Social Sciences and has played a key role in European economic policy and sustainability initiatives.
