Micael Johansson

Micael Johansson is the President and CEO of the Swedish defence and security company Saab, a role he took up on October 23, 2019.

Since 2023, he has also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of ASD – the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe.

With nearly 40 years of experience in engineering, sensor systems, and defence, Johansson is a seasoned leader, having held key positions at various levels in Saab’s organisation.

Prior to becoming CEO, he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO. Before that, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Surveillance, overseeing Saab’s operations in radar, electronic warfare, command and control, and traffic management systems.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Uppsala.
