Nik Gowing
Nik Gowing is founder and director of the Thinking the Unthinkable (TTU) project. Since 2014 it has investigated why leaders – both corporate and political – struggle in the new era of global disruption. The acute challenges for leadership on sustainability, biodiversity, nature and the climate emergency are a core focus of TTU’s work. Look at where we are now!
Nik was a main news presenter for BBC World News (1996-2014), presenting The Hub with Nik Gowing, BBC World Debates and Dateline London. For 18 years he worked at ITN where he was bureau chief in Rome and Warsaw then diplomatic editor for Channel Four News. He has been a member of the councils of Chatham House, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), Overseas Development Institute; the board of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy; and advisory council at Wilton Park. He is trustee of the Hay Festival.
Nik has been a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Geo-Economics and an adviser on leadership challenges to the President of the UN General Assembly.
Nik has been a visiting professor at Kings College, London and at Nanyang University, Singapore. He received honorary doctorates from Exeter University and Bristol University. He is now a Distinguished Fellow at the RUSI.
Nikki Dean
Nikki Dean is a Presenter and live event host who has worked in the Technology, Entertainment, and Automotive industries for almost two decades.
She began her career in Live TV and has since travelled the world hosting Live Events and Product Launches, moderating high level panels and Presenting Awards Ceremonies for some of the most prestigious brands worldwide, alongside Technology and Automotive reporting.
Nikki’s passion for cars, technology and design, along with her strong desire to inspire women in STEM, led her to co-found ”Supercar Sisters”. This luxury car content and event platform will be launched later this year, featuring stunning cars and celebrating the diverse range of women behind them.
