Jakob Ellemann-Jensen

Jakob Ellemann-Jensen is Deputy Director General at the Danish Chamber of Commerce, where he leads work across digitalisation, international affairs, advisory services and defence. With a career spanning national security, technology policy and senior political leadership, he brings a strategic perspective on how businesses – particularly SMEs – can strengthen their resilience in an increasingly complex security landscape.

Prior to joining the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Ellemann-Jensen served as Denmark’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Affairs, as well as Leader of the Liberal Party (Venstre). He has also held the positions of Minister of Defence and Minister for Environment and Food, giving him broad experience at the intersection of economic policy, security and sustainability.

Ellemann-Jensen holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and has held senior roles in the private sector, including at IBM and Store Nord. Alongside his civilian career, he has a background in the Danish Armed Forces and continues to serve as a Reserve Captain.

He currently serves on the boards of EIFO and IFU, chairs the Danish Ukraine Committee, and is Chair of Security Tech Space.
