Lea Korsgaard
Lea Korsgaard is a Danish journalist, author and media entrepreneur, and the Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Zetland, the award-winning digital news platform known for its in-depth, membership-based journalism. Since launching Zetland in 2012, she has helped shape one of the Nordic region’s most recognised media start-ups, focused on building trust, curiosity and deeper understanding in the digital age.
Korsgaard works at the intersection of journalism, technology, creativity and business development. Alongside her role at Zetland, she serves as Chair of the Board of the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX).
Before co-founding Zetland, Korsgaard worked as a journalist covering media and culture at leading Danish newspapers, including Politiken. She has also written several acclaimed books, among them The Media User’s Manual to the Age of Lies.
Her latest book, The Butterfly Season, became both a bestseller and a critical success in Denmark. Combining nature writing, personal reflection and cultural commentary, the book follows her journey to discover every native butterfly species in Denmark within a single year.
