Maja Vukovic
Maja Vukovic is an IBM Fellow and Chief Technology Officer for AI & Automation Research at IBM, where she leads the company’s global research strategy in artificial intelligence and automation. Her work focuses on large language models, AI agents and enterprise AI, helping translate cutting-edge research into technologies used across IBM’s products and by organisations worldwide.
Recognised as one of IBM’s most distinguished technical leaders, Vukovic is an IBM Master Inventor with more than 225 granted patents. Her research spans AI foundation models, machine learning, data science and AI for code, and she has received several international honours, including the IEEE Women in Services Computing Award.
Vukovic holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and is widely recognised for bridging advanced AI research with practical business applications.
